South Park Game Phone Destroyer To Hit Play Store November 9

Ubisoft Entertainment’s upcoming irreverent Android game – South Park: Phone Destroyer – is finally set to see a global release as of November 9, according to the company’s official blog and the game’s Google Play listing. To clarify, the game has already seen a soft release in some areas and has been up for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for some time. However, this will mark the first time its available outside of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, or Finland without a workaround. For those who haven’t yet pre-registered, the Google Play Store page can be accessed through the Google Play button below. Pre-registration also grants players access to an exclusive ManBearPig outfit for their in-game avatar.

As to the game itself, Phone Destroyer centers around the collection of cards for use in master decks to take part in real-time, strategy-heavy battles. Players take on the role of a “new kid” in the town of South Park, complete with player-character customizations. Cards feature the show’s most iconic characters – and character variations – and are used to battle other players online. The player-versus-player game mode also features a global ranking system for players who want to take their play to the next level. That’s in addition to the game’s 60 levels featured in a dialogue-rich, story-driven, single-player campaign that was created in partnership with the minds responsible for the television series. The campaign is, according to the app’s description, also the best way to upgrade decks, new cards, challenges, and to collect loot for use in the above-mentioned online matchups. Beyond that, and lending to the game’s Mature 17+ rating, no South Park game would be complete without the ability to kill off Kenny or watch one of the series’ primary protagonist taking part in some cross-dressing activities. Those are, of course, features included in this new title.

Best of all, setting aside the game’s unsurprising and more adult-oriented antics, South Park: Phone Destroyer is actually free-to-play. The developers say that there are no energy timers or other gimmicks to get in the way of the gameplay itself. That alone should make this a must-have for fans of the series and the card-battling strategy genre. In the meantime, more information on the game can be found through the source links below and anybody interested should definitely check out the game’s trailer – which has also been embedded below.
