OUKITEL has today confirmed pre-orders for its latest smartphone, the OUKITEL K5000, will begin October 24. The pre-order period will remain active until October 31 and during this period the OUKITEL K5000 will be available to buy for $149.99, down from its $169.99 price, and will be available in three color options - brilliant blue, jet black and champagne gold.
As part of the launch period OUKITEL is looking to explain some of the benefits on offer with its latest smartphone by drawing on eight specific points. The first of which is the display as the OUKITEL K5000 not only comes equipped with a 5.7-inch display but one which also makes use of an 18:9 aspect ratio. As a result this is a smartphone that offers more display surface area within a body that is more typically associated with smaller display-touting smartphones. In addition to adopting a slimmer body for a more comfortable one-handed level of use. The second point OUKITEL picks up on is also related to the display - the resolution. As OUKITEL notes the OUKITEL K5000 makes use of a 1440 x 720 resolution (otherwise known as HD+), with the company stating the HD+ resolution will show brighter and more colorful images compared to a standard HD display. The third point made is the cameras as OUKITEL explains how the inclusion of a 21-megapixel front-facing camera from Samsung and a 16-megapixel rear camera from Sony makes this the first smartphone to combine cameras from both companies.
The fourth and sixth reasons are both battery-related with OUKITEL firstly pointing out that the OUKITEL K5000 comes equipped with a 5,000 mAh SCUD high-density battery. Which OUKITEL argues is enough for owners not to have to worry about charging the phone when away from home. While the other battery-related point is the battery’s use of a 9V/2A charger which will save on charging time in general. The fifth benefit is the sum of the main specs which OUKITEL states will be of benefit to those looking to multi-task due to the OUKITEL K5000 coming equipped with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and being powered by a MediaTek 6750T octa-core processor. The seventh benefit is the fingerprint sensor as not only does the OUKITEL K5000 come equipped with one, but the company states response time is very quickly and the device can be unlocked without having to turn the display on first. The eighth and last benefit that OUKITEL is keen to highlight is the general dual curved design on offer with the OUKITEL K5000. Which OUKITEL notes offers an on trend presentation as well as one which is the sum of a number of design-focused aspects, such as a CNC crafted frame and 3D curved glossy design. To further highlight some of the design aspects OUKITEL has also released a new video which shows the unboxing experience on offer. The new video can be seen in full below.
