LG Shows Off LG V30's Video Prowess In 6 Short Films

The LG V30 not only looks quite sleek, but it also comes with a truly capable dual camera setup on the back, in addition to plenty of camera-oriented software features, and LG has just released six ‘original short films’ in order to show off the V30’s camera capabilities. LG basically partnered up with six emerging filmmakers in order to make this happen, these films were shot by the V30 through-and-through, and were published on YouTube for all of us to see. It’s also worth noting that these films are being screened during the 55th edition of the New York Film Festival.

All six of these short films have been embedded below this article, just in case you want to check them out. These films come with various different thematics, and a keen eye will notice that these were not shot by professional cameras, of course, that much is noticeable, but that doesn’t change the fact that they look really great. The sharpness is on point, same goes for the stabilization, and the colors are also spot on. The LG V30 is a very capable camera phone if set to auto mode, but the manual mode is where the magic happens, as LG included a ton of various options for those of you who are willing to dig around the V30’s camera. Our very own editor, Nick Sutrich, talked far more about the LG V30’s camera in a special camera feature for this smartphone, though he also delves into it in our LG V30 review, just in case you’d like to know more about the phone’s camera.

The LG V30 does have some competition in the camera department out there, though it’s regarded to be one of the best smartphones in the market at the moment, and at the same time one of the best camera smartphones out there, next to the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, Google Pixel 2 (XL), iPhone 8 (Plus) and so on. The LG V30 is made out of metal and glass, while it sports a 6-inch QHD+ P-OLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, and it sports 16 and 13-megapixel shooters on its back. A 16-megapixel snapper is the phone’s main camera, it comes with OIS, f/1.6 aperture and both laser and phase detection autofocus. The secondary sensor comes with an f/1.9 aperture, and this is a wide-angle lens.
