Google Pixel 2 XL Is Now Available In Spain And Italy

Consumers in Spain and Italy can now purchase the Google Pixel 2 XL. The search giant earlier announced it will sell its recent smartphone offerings in the two countries, although the Pixel 2, the smaller of the two handsets, is not yet available. The devices can be purchased from the Google Store, and users may choose from either Black or Black and White color options. Right now, it seems that people can only acquire the variant of the handset with 64GB of internal storage, which costs €989 in Italy and €959 in Spain.

The Google Pixel 2 XL is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor, which is comprised of an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.35GHz and the Adreno 540 GPU. The device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash storage. While the user lacks the ability to expand the internal storage using a microSD card, Google offers unlimited online backup of both images and videos. The handset sports a 6-inch p-OLED display from LG Display with a resolution of 2880 by 1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. A sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen from scratches. In addition, the handset includes two front-facing speakers and three microphones. The rear camera of the handset is equipped with a 12.2-megapixel sensor with an aperture size of f/1.8 and a pixel size of 1.4-micrometers. It can record 4K videos with a frame rate of 30fps and 1080p videos with a frame rate of up to 120fps. The rear snapper also sports both optical and electronic image stabilization. The front camera, on the other hand, comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture size of f/2.4. To keep the lights on, a 3,520mAh battery is included with the handset. Meanwhile, the device's IP67 water and dust resistance certification means that it can be submerged underwater for a short period of time.

Software-wise, the Google Pixel 2 XL ships with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed, and its owners should expect at least three years of operating system upgrades and security patches from the company. Also pre-installed is the Google Assistant, which can now be triggered by pressing both sides of the handset through the new "Active Edge" feature. Included in the shipping package are the smartphone, an 18-Watt USB Type-C charger, a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable, a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, and quick start guide.
