A new render of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite has now surfaced online showcasing the blue variant of the upcoming phone. While it is still unclear how many models of the Mate 10 will be announced next week by Huawei, the Mate 10 Lite is the one expected to arrive last to market – irrespective of whether it is announced next week or not. In either case, this latest image provides a good look at the front and the back of the device while also seemingly confirming many of the design points on offer with this particular Mate 10 variant.
This is not actually the first Mate 10 Lite render to come to light as earlier this week the Mate 10 Lite was leaked in quite substantial fashion due to a European retailer listing the phone a little earlier than it should have. The images provided along with that previous leaking are in line with this latest image further confirming the likelihood of this image being representative of what will be announced. For instance, further confirming that the Mate 10 Lite will be a smartphone that like many others in 2017, looks to do away with bezels.
As for the specs, and per the previous information, the Mate 10 Lite is expected to feature a 5.9-inch display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio and by association an FHD+ (2160 x 1080) resolution. Inside, it is expected the Mate 10 Lite will come boosting 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. As for the cameras, it does seem as though this model will boast a dual camera configuration on the front of the device, as well as on the back. With the rear setup consisting of a 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel camera duo, compared to the 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel combination expected on the front. Additional feature understood to be on offer include the option to expand the storage when needed via microSD (up to 256GB), a 3,340 mAh capacity battery, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The previous retailer listing did suggest the Mate 10 Lite will come running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) although Huawei did seemingly confirm that the Mate 10 line will come running on Android 8.0 (Oreo) at launch. In either case, the expectation is the Mate 10 Lite will first become available in Europe and likely priced around the €349.99 marker (which works out to be just shy of $415 in US terms).
