Deal: Amazon Echo (1st Gen) for $75 – 10/5/17

Today, Woot is selling the Amazon Echo (1st Generation) for just $74.99, that is actually the lowest price the Amazon Echo has ever been sold for. And this is a brand new model of the Echo as well, so it’s even lower than refurbished models are currently going for on Amazon’s website.

The Amazon Echo is Amazon’s own smart speaker with its personal assistant, Alexa built-in. With Alexa, users are able to do all sorts of things, but the most common thing that Alexa is used for is controlling smart home products like light bulbs, thermostats, security cameras and much more. It makes it easy to turn on the lights in the living room, as you are able to simply say “Alexa, turn on the lights”. Additionally, Alexa can be used for a few other things, like ordering pizza from Domino’s or Pizza Hut, it can also order your previous order from GrubHub, so if you’re hungry, you don’t even need to leave the couch. Of course, Alexa can stream music over WiFi or Bluetooth, and also answer your questions. Although it’s not as good at answering questions as the Google Assistant is, and that’s simply due to the knowledge-graph that Amazon has versus Google.

Woot is selling the Echo for $74.99, but it is charging a flat rate of $5 for shipping, so it’s actually $80. Which is still $100 off of its regular price. It is fulfilled by Amazon, but unfortunately Amazon’s Prime shipping is not available here.
