Those that have been looking to pick up an unlocked LG V30, for one reason or another, can now pre-order one. B&H Photo has put up the unlocked LG V30 for pre-order with an estimated ship date of December 5th, which is still quite a ways away, and puts it well behind when the LG V30 launched at carriers - and that is likely the reason for the delay, carriers. The unlocked LG V30 will work on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile as well as most carriers around the world. It also supports CDMA carriers, so those on Sprint and Verizon are not out of luck this time around.
B&H Photo is selling the LG V30 for $829, which is surprisingly about the same as the carriers full retail price. Typically the unlocked model will cost a bit more, as is the case with the Galaxy Note 8, and this is likely to discourage many from buying the device unlocked, as carriers get updates first, leaving the unlocked models to get the new version of Android well behind their locked brothers. The LG V30 is launching with Android 7.1 Nougat and will get Android 8.0 Oreo at some point, however, there's no word as to when just yet. And the unlocked LG V30 will likely get it behind the four carrier models.
The LG V30 sports a 6-inch OLED Quad HD+ display, that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. LG did include a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage as well. There is a 3300mAh battery included to keep it running all day long. LG has two cameras on the back, with a 16-megapixel main camera and then a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera, so you can get everyone or everything into the picture. The LG V30 is only available in cloud silver from B&H Photo, and it is up for pre-order right now. So if you don't mind waiting another 6 weeks to get your hands on an unlocked LG V30, now is a good time to pre-order your unlocked LG V30, which you can do so at the link below.
