The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus' protective case has just surfaced, suggesting that the phone actually exists and might launch at some point. The Xiaomi Mi 6 was announced back in April this year, while the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus did not land, despite the fact it was expected to arrive next to the Xiaomi Mi 6. A China-based analyst, Pan Jiutang, suggested a while back that the announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus had been postponed due to Snapdragon 835's availability, well, lack thereof, which is why Xiaomi decided to launch the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus at a later date. This info was not confirmed by the company at that time, and Xiaomi never actually mentioned the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, so… take this info with a grain of salt.
In any case, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will get to see quite a few images of the alleged case for the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus. Now, there are quite a few images included in there, and some of them are showing off the Xiaomi Mi 6's case next to the Mi 6 Plus' case, so that you can see the difference between these two phones. The Xiaomi Mi 6 sports a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while the Mi 6 Plus is expected to ship with a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch panel. The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will sport a dual camera setup on the back as well, it seems, though the cutout on this case is different, compared to the one on the Mi 6's case. Also, an LED flash sensor is placed on the opposite side of the dual camera setup, compared to an LED flash on the Mi 6. If this case is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack either, just like the Xiaomi Mi 6. This case also suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will sport a similar design as the Xiaomi Mi 6, which is to be expected, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will probably be identical to the Mi 6 in terms of the design, but it remains to be seen what will happen.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch fullHD or QHD display, and ship with 6GB of RAM on the inside. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this phone, and the device will be made out of metal and glass, Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, and on top of it, you'll get Xiaomi's MIUI 8 OS.
