Rose Gold Variant Of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Leaks Online

A Rose Gold variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus leaked online on Thursday, having originated on Chinese social media website Weibo. The render indicates that the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer might be looking to release a fifth variation of its latest Android flagship in an effort to provide consumers with even more choice regarding different Galaxy S8 variants. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have originally launched in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue, and Maple Gold, though it wouldn't be unprecedented if Samsung decides to expand on that choice of colors in the future. The Seoul-based phone maker has a history of revising its flagship handsets which the company did with the Galaxy S7 Edge and a number of its previous high-end devices.

As the render above depicts only the Rose Gold variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, it's possible that its smaller counterpart won't be available in the same color, which also wouldn't be an unprecedented decision on Samsung's part. The largest smartphone manufacturer in the world has yet to mention new variations of its Galaxy S8 lineup in any official capacity so it remains to be seen if the company ends up revising the series and when such a move might happen.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been on the market for approximately six weeks now and are still enjoying an overwhelmingly positive response from both critics and consumers alike. The pair of premium Android devices is selling so well that Samsung even opted to use its sales figures to promote the handsets, touting about the duo surpassing five million global sales in less than a month on the market. The company's home country accounts for around one-fifth of that number, though the Galaxy S8 series is also said to be performing well in the West. Many industry watchers have already predicted that both smartphones will outsell all other Android devices released over the course of this year and may even outperform the extremely popular Galaxy S7 lineup. An update on the commercial performance of the Galaxy S8 series is expected to follow shortly.
