Pick Up the Google Chromecast Ultra for $59 - 6/4/17

The Google Chromecast Ultra is currently seeing a rare $10 price drop at multiple retailers. The Chromecast Ultra is typically priced at around $69, and has almost never seen a price drop of any type, and right now it's available for just $59.

Chromecast Ultra was announced last fall. It was Google's 4K version of the very popular Chromecast dongle. The biggest change between the Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra was the addition of 4K. However the Chromecast Ultra also has an ethernet port, and this is because streaming 4K uses a whole lot more data than typical streaming of 720p or 1080p. And where most home WiFi networks can't quite keep up, Google decided to add in an option to make the Chromecast Ultra wired. Which is going to be a pretty big deal, when more and more people get 4K TV's. If you do have a 4K TV, it's definitely worth picking up, and much cheaper than the NVIDIA SHIELD TV, which is basically the only Google alternative for 4K content right now.

You can pick up the Chromecast Ultra for $59 at both B&H Photo and Walmart right now. It's unclear just how long it'll be available at this price, but it likely won't be too long, so grab one while it's still available.
