The BLUBOO S1 is an upcoming smartphone from BLUBOO and one which looks to highlight its display. In particular, and following the recent trend of smartphones, the reduction in the amount of bezels on the front panel. The difference between the BLUBOO S1 and those other phones though, is that this is a smartphone that is not designed to be an expensive purchase. Quite the opposite in fact, as recent reports have detailed that the BLUBOO S1 is expected to become available sometime in June and priced at around $150.
Now, a new image has surfaced showcasing the design points of the BLUBOO S1. In line with previous reports, the image shows that the BLUBOO S1 does indeed offer little in terms of bezels, with three of the four sides essentially opting for a bezel-less design. The fourth side however, is not quite as bezel-less, as BLUBOO has opted to include a front-positioned home button. Which of course, is a button that also includes an embedded fingerprint sensor. Other notable aspects include the re-positioning of the front-facing camera (which typically would sit at the top of the front panel) to the bottom portion of the phone, below the home button. While the earpiece speaker and proximity sensor are still located at the top of the front panel, they do adopt a much smaller size to account for the limited amount of surface space on offer with the top bezel.
In terms of the specs, it is expected that the BLUBOO S1 will come equipped with a 5.5-inch display along with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the BLUBOO S1 will become available in two variants, with the first offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and the second loaded with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage - both variants are powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC. Cameras include a dual rear camera setup which is spearheaded by a 16-megapixel camera and supported by a secondary 3-megapixel camera, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. All three of which can be seen in this latest sketch image. Those interested can also check out the new promotional video below for the BLUBOO S1, which also surfaced this week.
