Render Of Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD Tablet Leaks Online

A press render of what's said to be the upcoming Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD was leaked online by a reliable industry insider on Sunday. Not many details about the tablet were provided by the source, though the render itself indicates that the largest wireless carrier in the United States will soon be offering a device that's more robust than its 2015 predecessor - the Verizon Ellipsis 10. The supposed Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD features a front camera in the center of its top bezel and while it doesn't have any visible carrier branding on the bottom bezel, that may not be the case with the final product.

The render of the alleged successor to the Verizon Ellipsis 10 also shows a device that's running some build of Android Nougat that's expected to be heavily reskinned by the Big Red. The Home screen of the tablet shown in the image sports a widget for the Verizon Tech Coach service, and while the render reveals no other Verizon-made apps or services, the tablet itself will likely feature many. Finally, the name of the device indicates that it will ship with an improved screen over that of its predecessor, which some consumers may find surprising given how the 2015 Verizon Ellipsis 10 already boasted a 10.1-inch IPS TFT LCD display panel with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels, which translates to approximately 224 pixels per inch.

Apart from the screen and Android version, the upcoming Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD may also be an upgrade over its predecessor in terms of internal storage and feature at least 32GB of storage space, in addition to retaining the microSD card slot that was available on the 2015 device. The name of the tablet indicates that its screen size will remain identical, though the Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD will almost certainly improve on 2GB of RAM and a quad-core system-on-chip (SoC) clocked at 1.5GHz that were powering the previous device. The New Jersey-based mobile service provided has yet to officially announce its latest exclusive Android tablet but given how its predecessor is a year and a half old now, more details about the Verizon Ellipsis 10 HD may follow in the near future.
