OnePlus had recently confirmed that the OnePlus 5 is coming this summer, and the phone's full spec sheet has just surfaced yet again, this time on Geekbuying. Now, if the provided info is to be believed, the OnePlus 5 will be one of the most powerful smartphones out there, at least in terms of specs. The device already popped up on Geekbench, while some third-party Chinese resellers also listed the device prior to its announcement, like GearBest, for example. That being said, do keep in mind that Geekbuying is a Chinese reseller, and this info might be inaccurate, as a number of such sites tend to list smartphones before they're announced, and in some cases that info is based on leaks.
According to the provided info, the OnePlus 5 will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC (clocked at 2.35GHz) by Qualcomm, and the Adreno 540 GPU will be included for graphics processing. A 23-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the device, and according to this info, the OnePlus 5 will not sport a dual camera setup on its back. A 16-megapixel snapper will be included up front, just as it was on its predecessor, the OnePlus 3T. The device will ship with a 4,000mAh battery on the inside, and that unit will not be removable, as expected. The OnePlus 5 will also include two SIM card slots (2 x nano SIM), and 4G LTE connectivity will also be a part of the package. The leaked spec sheet claims that the phone will offer support for both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, as expected, and CDMA will also be supported.
Android 7.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the OnePlus, and the company's OxygenOS will ship on top of Google's operating system. Geekbuying has mentioned only one color variant of the device, black. The source also claims that the phone will sport a fingerprint scanner, NFC and fast charging (Dash Charge), while a Type-C USB port is also mentioned, as expected. Geekbuying has also shared an image of the device, though we've already seen it, it's a leaked render of the device which surfaced recently. This image does not make all that much sense, however, as Geekbuying claims that the phone will sport a single rear-facing camera, and the image they attached come with a dual camera setup. Geekbuying also shared the pricing for the OnePlus 5, the device is listed on the company's website for $449.99, though it's not yet available, of course. The OnePlus 5 will probably land next month, so stay tuned.
