Nubia Z17 Shown Again In Three Newly Leaked Press Renders

Three new press renders depicting what's said to be the new Nubia Z17 have surfaced online on Friday. The renders originated from China and show a blue variant of the supposed Nubia Z17 that's been the subject of numerous industry rumors in recent months. Apart from the color and position of the Nubia branding, the device shown in the images below is mostly identical to the one that was leaked in early May. The handset is seemingly made of a combination of glass and metal and is slightly curved on both sides, with its rear panel featuring a traditional fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezel of the handset sports a capacitive Home button that's circular, which is a hallmark of most smartphones made by the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer.

According to previous reports, the Nubia Z17 will boast a 5.5-inch display panel with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixel and 2.5D curved glass. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's first 10nm system-on-chip (SoC) — the Snapdragon 835 — and ship in two variants boasting 4GB and 6GB of RAM, respectively. Both models are said to sport 64GB of internal storage space that will presumably be expandable by at least 128GB via a microSD card slot. Industry insiders previously indicated that the Nubia Z17 will ship with a 3,000mAh battery that likely won't be removable and feature an 8-megapixel front sensor. The rear side of the device will host a dual camera setup consisting of two 16-megapixel lenses with an aperture of f/2.0 which will be located in the top left corner of the back panel, as suggested by the newly leaked press renders.

If recent leaks depicting the supposed Nubia Z17 are accurate, the device will sport minimal side bezels and rounded corners, in addition to being relatively thin. Given how the handset was recently certified by telecommunications regulators in China, it will likely be released in the Far Eastern country in the coming weeks, though it remains to be seen whether it will eventually make its way to other markets as well. An update on the availability and pricing details of the Nubia Z17 should follow shortly.
