Meizu has been rather quiet when it comes to smartphone launches this year, but a new Meizu-branded smartphone is coming, soon. Today, we have an exclusive leak of this phone to share with you, and the source that provided these two images is very reliable. In any case, If you take a look at the provided gallery down below, you will see two images of a yet unannounced Meizu-branded smartphone, one showing off the front side of the device, and the other one letting us take a look at its back.
Now, as you can see, this is a black-colored smartphone, and its volume up, volume down and power / lock keys are placed on the right. The phone sports a physical mBack button below the display, this is actually the company's multifunctional key, which not only serves as a physical home key, but also as a capacitive back button and a fingerprint scanner, while you'll also be able to turn off the display by long-pressing it. If we flip the phone on its back, you'll be able to notice that the company's logo is located there, and above it, the phone's main camera and an LED flash. Now, this phone will ship with a single main camera, and its back side will be slightly curved it seems. It is a bit hard to tell, but it seems like the phone is made out of metal, we're not sure, we'll have to wait for Meizu to share more details.
So, what phone is this? Well, there are a lot of possibilities. The Meizu M5 was announced back in October, and its bigger brother, the Meizu M5 Note landed in December. Considering that Meizu introduced the Meizu M5 and M5 Note's predecessors, the Meizu M3 and Meizu M3 Note, back in April 2016, it is possible that this is the Meizu M6 or the Meizu M6 Note. Meizu has a habit of introducing two 'Meizu M' and 'Meizu M Note' iterations every year, so it makes sense. On the other hand, it is possible that it's a completely new line of devices, as Meizu did release a rather mysterious teaser on Twitter a couple of days ago, a colorful letter 'C'. The two images that we've shared represent all the info that we have at the moment, the specs of this phone are still unknown, but Meizu will probably release more info in the near future, stay tuned.
