BlackBerry KEYone Goes Up For Pre-Order In Canada

Consumers in Canada can now pre-order the BlackBerry KEYone. The device can now be pre-ordered from Rogers, a Canada-based carrier. If you’d like to get BlackBerry’s all-new smartphone from Rogers, you’ll need to set aside CAD 679 ($500), if you don’t want to sign a contract. If you, however, would like to commit yourself to Rogers’ network by signing a two-year contract, this carrier is offering plans ranging from CAD 0 to CAD 200, all you need to do is choose the one that suits you, and you’re good to go.

Now, if you’re waiting for some other Canada-based carrier to start offering the BlackBerry KEYone, it might take a while. Other Canada-based carriers, including Bell, Bell MTS, SaskTel and Telus will start accepting pre-orders as well, but we don’t know when exactly. In any case, the device will become available for purchase on May 31 in Canada, so stay tuned for that. The BlackBerry KEYone is not exactly a high-end smartphone, at least not based on its specifications, as it is fueled by a mid-range SoC, but it is the most powerful device BlackBerry ever released. Initial impressions were rather positive when it comes to this smartphone, and if you’d like to know more about what it has to offer, you can always check out our full review of this smartphone. Now, as you can see, the device sports a full physical QWERTY keyboard below the display, which is not something that you can find on a lot of phones these days, so if you’re looking for such a keyboard, you don’t have all that many options other than the BlackBerry KEYone.

This device comes with a metallic frame, and on the back of the phone lies some sort of a rubbery material. The phone’s space bar actually doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and this device comes with a set of on-screen buttons. The BlackBerry KEYone sports a 4.5-inch 1620 x 1080 IPS display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. This phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, while it packs in a 3,505mAh battery on the inside. A 12-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of this device, while an 8-megapixel shooter is placed on the front side of this phone. You can read more about the phone’s specs by clicking here.
