Apex Launcher has updated their app with a new beta which brings the app to version 3.2.0. For those that may not be familiar, Apex Launcher was one of the more popular third party launcher apps available on the Play Store alongside other notable options like Nova Launcher. The big difference between the two is that Nova has been consistently updating their app since it was first released years ago, while Apex hadn't updated their app in quite some time. That has all changed now though as a new beta is now out and users can install it right now if they want to.
First things first, with this particular beta you need to be a part of the Google+ beta community before you can download the app from the Play Store, and after you join as a member of that community you'll need to click the become a tester link to download the app. Alternatively you could simply download the latest beta APK from the second button below, but to get updates for this beta you have to be a part of the community and become a tester.
There isn't much in the way of detail as to what's been changed and added to the launcher with this beta update but it is at least possible to tell that the visuals have changed a bit. The icons seem to more closely resemble what current icons look like and this includes folders and shortcuts. Other than these few things it seems there may be some other changes that have been made but they aren't really detailed either, and based on the comments in the beta community the changes are all minor for now with a few bugs here and there, so it's possible that more of the bigger changes will be added with future updates to the beta as present bugs are being worked out. That being said if you're interested in giving Apex Launcher in its newest form a go you can grab the app through the above-mentioned methods. Like Nova, Apex Launcher is highly customizable and allows for a wide range of adjustments that can be made by the user. This includes adding themes to the UI and applying icon packs, as well as home screen edits, app drawer edits, home screen transition animations and more.
