The UMIDIGI Crystal is the newest handset inspired by the Xiaomi Mi MIX, though it can also be referred to as the Xiaomi Mi MIX clone, depending on who you ask, of course. In any case, this smartphone sports a design which resembles the Xiaomi Mi MIX quite a bit, it does not really bezels above the display or on the sides, but it comes with a rather sizeable chin down below. Truth be told, this phone has really thin black bars around the display, and a bit of bezel all around as part of its frame, so it’s not exactly fully bezel-less, of course.
This handset is currently displayed in UMIDIGI’s booth over at Global Sources Electronics Fair. Now, the UMIDIGI Crystal is not the only smartphone that is inspired by the Xiaomi Mi MIX’s design, the Bluboo S1, Doogee MIX and the Elephone S8 also belong on that list. Now, if you take a look at the images and the video clip down below, you’ll be able to see the UMIDIGI Crystal with your own eyes, courtesy of notebookitalia. As far as its specs are concerned, the UMIDIGI Crystal sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6737T 64-bit quad-core processor, and comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. This phone offers 4G LTE connectivity, and sports a 13-megapixel snapper on its back, while a 5-megapixel camera is available on its front side. Now, the UMIDIGI Crystal won’t cost as much as you think, it will be considerably more affordable, mainly due to its rather modest spec sheet. This smartphone will become available next month and it will cost around $150.
That being said, UMIDIGI is also planning to release the UMIDIGI Crystal Pro handset which will sport a 5.5-inch OLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In addition to that, the phone will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6750 64-bit octa-core processor. The UMIDIGI Crystal Pro won’t be expensive either, but it will certainly cost more than the regular model. Both of those devices are pictured in the gallery down below, though do keep in mind these are not final variants, these are only prototypes, so their design could slightly change before UMIDIGI releases them. The UMIDIGI Crystal Pro will arrive later on, it will be released before the end of the year, though.
