OUKITEL C5 Available To Pre-Order April 25 For Only $49.99

There are cheap smartphones and then there are cheap smartphones. To add to the latter of those categories, OUKITEL has now announced that it is preparing to release a new smartphone, the OUKITEL C5. The big selling point with this one is the price, as this will not only be an affordable smartphone, but effectively, one of the cheapest smartphones you can buy. The OUKITEL C5 will be available to pre-order for only $49.99 at launch.

At that price, it would be fair to assume that the specs would be at an absolute lowest level. However, they are not. Size-wise, this is a smartphone that comes with a 5-inch display and adopts the help of a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the OUKITEL C5 will come loaded with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core SoC (clocking at 1.3 GHz). Cameras come in the form of an 8-megapixel (interpolated) rear camera, which is combined with a 5-megapixel (interpolated) front-facing camera. Additional features worth noting, include the ability to expand the storage via microSD, a 2,000 mAh battery, and a design which makes use of a polycarbonate back along with a metal frame. One other aspect worth noting at this price point is that the OUKITEL C5 will come running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box. Making it one of the cheapest smartphones to do so.

Following the launch period, the OUKITEL C5 is set to retail for $64.99 and at that price, this will be a smartphone that offers good value for money. However, OUKITEL is teaming up with a number of retailers to make the OUKITEL C5 available for a limited time at the lower $49.99 price. Which at that price, makes this an even better value for money purchase. For those looking for an extra layer of customization, OUKITEL has also confirmed that the OUKITEL C5 will be available in three different colors at launch, including black, gold and white. According to the details, the first pre-orders at the reduced $49.99 price will begin on Tuesday, April 25, and those interested in finding a list of authorized retailers can do so by heading over to the OUKITEL website.
