Relatively speaking, MAZE is a new manufacturer to the smartphone scene. However, MAZE is rapidly starting to really build out its portfolio. The first of the company’s smartphones to be announced was the MAZE Alpha. This was quickly followed by the news that the company was working on a new smartphone, dubbed the Maze Blade. Now that the MAZE Blade is available to buy, it seems the company is already working on its third smartphone in a year, the MAZE Comet. One thing that has now become clear is that MAZE chooses names carefully. Following the confirmation of the existence of the third device, it does seem as though MAZE is adopting an alphabetical naming scheme. Although, one of the other reasons said to be behind the name is that like a comet, this will be a powerful smartphone. With its main powered-elements being a greater than usual battery capacity, and greater camera capabilities.
According to the details coming through, the MAZE Comet will be a smartphone that comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, and while the details are limited, the battery capacity is said to be in the region of 6,000 mAh, Which does firmly place this smartphone in the two-day level of usage sector. While in terms of those camera capabilities, the MAZE Comet will come with dual rear cameras in play. Although, there has been no details provided on the camera’s MP counts or additional features. Closing out the list of confirmed information, is that the MAZE Comet will come running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box.
At the moment, there are no firm details on pricing or availability, so it is not quite clear where on the price spectrum the MAZE Comet will be positioned. Although if judging by the previous two MAZE smartphones, the Comet will likely be a highly competitively priced smartphone. Take the MAZE Blade for instance. This is a smartphone that is currently available to buy for only $139 and for that price, comes equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.
