Meizu PRO 7 To Launch Alongside Meizu E2 Later Today?

The Meizu E2 will land later today, and according to a newly surfaced rumored, the company’s Meizu PRO 7 flagship might arrive alongside the company’s budget offering. According to some analysts, the Meizu PRO 7 might launch today, even though Meizu did not exactly tease the arrival of their new flagship. The Meizu PRO 6 was announced back in April last year, and the Meizu PRO 6 Plus landed back in November alongside the budget Meizu M3X smartphone, which managed to surprise quite a few people.

In any case, the Meizu PRO 7 specifications leaked once again on Weibo (Chinese social network), and according to the provided info, the Meizu PRO 7 will sport a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 6GB of RAM and a 3,500mAh battery. On the back of this handset, you’ll be able to find a 12-megapixel shooter, while Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, if the rumor is to be believed. On top of Android, you’ll get Meizu’s Flyme OS skin, and the company’s mCharge fast charging tech will also be a part of this package. Now, if this info is accurate, the Meizu PRO 7 will be the first Meizu-branded smartphone to come with Android Nougat, and Flyme 6 would ship on top of it, which is a version of Meizu’s skin we’re quite familiar with already, as it has already arrived on some of their devices based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Now, according to some rumors, the Meizu PRO 7 will cost 2,699 Yuan once it launches, same as the Meizu PRO 6s which was announced last year. Do take this information with a grain of salt, though, Meizu did not tease the arrival of their flagship at all, they did not hint that the phone will launch alongside the Meizu E2, and not many people are expecting that to happen. Having that in mind, Meizu managed to surprise us last year when they introduced the Meizu PRO 6 Plus, so who knows what might happen. In any case, the Meizu E2 will be announced later today, so stay tuned, let’s see if the Meizu PRO 7 will be announced as well, or is this yet another wild rumor.
