LG Harmony Now At Cricket For $99 With $25 Google Play Credit

Hot on the heels of the LG Fortune, it seems Cricket Wireless has quietly made available a new smartphone today, the LG Harmony. It is clear that this is designed for those looking for an affordable option, as the LG Harmony has become available through Cricket priced at only $99.99 with activation. The Cricket listing also confirms that the LG Harmony is available with most of its data plans, including its 3GB, 8GB, and 12GB tiered options, as well as its unlimited plan.

In terms of the specs, the LG Harmony comes equipped with a 5.3-inch display along with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the LG Harmony comes loaded with 1.5 GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor (clocking at 1.4 GHz). Cameras on offer include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. While the additional features worth noting include the option to expand the storage via microSD (up to 2TB) and 4G LTE support. That is in addition to the included 2,800 mAh battery and Android 7.0 (Nougat) as the pre-installed operating system.

So by all accounts, this is a low-end option. However, as it does come with a $99 price tag attached, it is one which seemingly is worth the money. Especially considering the LG Harmony comes loaded with Android Nougat out of the box. Making it one of the most affordable smartphones currently available running the latest released version of Android. Not to mention that Cricket Wireless has also confirmed the inclusion of a number of LG software tweaks, such as KnockOn and Knock Code. The first lets you double tap the screen to wake the device, while the second is a security feature that allows a device to be unlocked while the screen is off. If all that is not enough value for the $99 asking price, then it also seems as though Cricket and LG have teamed up to offer an extra incentive to buy - a $25 Google Play credit. According to the details, any purchase of the LG Harmony before April 30, 2017 (11:59 pm Eastern) will be eligible to redeem the $25 Google Play credit though LG’s online promotions site. As usual, there are some caveats, namely, limited quantity, the credit has to be claimed within 30 days of purchase, only two claims per person, and only available to buyers in the US.
