Hands-On With The Xiaomi Mi 6

The Xiaomi Mi 6 landed earlier today, as Xiaomi hosted a press conference in China in order to announce their new phone. Well, we were at the event in China, and have managed to spend some time with the all-new Xiaomi Mi 6, and get some hands-on images of the device. Xiaomi actually announced several variants of the Xiaomi Mi 6, three regular variants, plus two special edition models, read on.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes in Black, White and Blue color variants, while 64GB and 128GB storage models are available, no matter which color option you choose to purchase. Having said that, Xiaomi also announced a limited edition variant of the Mi 6, called the Xiaomi Mi 6 Silver Edition. Now, we’ve managed to spend some time with all of these variants, and you can find some hands-on images (around 50 of them) in the gallery down below. A variant that we were not able to get, because it wasn’t available at the event, is the ceramic one. Same as last year, Xiaomi opted to introduce a ceramic variant of their flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic. We are hoping that the ceramic variant will become available in the near future so that we can take a look at it, but until that happens, you can feast your eyes on all the other Xiaomi Mi 6 models.

Now, as far as specs go, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is quite a powerful smartphone. This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. The phone sports a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and a 3,350mAh battery on the inside. There are two 12-megapixel snappers available on the back of the Mi 6, and the device also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Mi 6 is made out of metal and glass, except for the ceramic variant, of course, that variant combines ceramic with metal. Android Nougat comes pre-installed on the Mi 6, and on top of it, you’re getting Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS, of course.
