The Coolpad Defiant Might Be T-Mobile's Next Low-End Phone

The Coolpad Defiant might be T-Mobile's next low-end phone as a new rumor claims that this budget-friendly device is headed for the carrier's store shelves in the future. There's no current information on when T-Mobile would launch the device and there's also no information on what it would cost, but Coolpad isn't known for charging a lot for their smartphone as they tend to come in with a target of entry-level consumers and based on the looks and specs details that have leaked alongside the image the Defiant follows that same standard.

When it comes to the specs the Defiant is unsurprisingly bare bones but that isn't necessarily a bad thing for consumers as it's what's helping to keep the cost down for a phone like this one. The display size is only 5-inches and it comes with a resolution of 854 x 480, and it's said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 308 graphics processor. It's also said to have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space which isn't a lot, and it wasn't mentioned whether or not the Defiant would support expandable storage through the use of a micro SD card. Keeping in mind that the Coolpad Defiant is mostly likely a budget handset based on the specs, a micro SD card may not be available as a measure of keeping the cost down.

The battery on the inside is rumored to have 2450mAh capacity and it does come with a front and back camera as shown in the image, with the front-facing camera being a 2-megapixel sensor while the rear-facing camera is a slightly higher 5-megapixel sensor As for software, Android 7.0 Nougat should be running the show here if the rumor is correct which means that even customers who just want a more basic smartphone won't have to be left out of having the most up to date software, which also should mean the most up to date security patches, or close the most up to date. The Coolpad Defiant appears to have just one speaker located on the back, no fingerprint sensor, and it will at least come in the grey color that's shown in the picture.
