Bose Announces SoundLink Revolve Speakers with 360-Degree Sound

Bose is a pretty popular name in the world of audio, and today, they announced two new speakers in the SoundLink Revolve and SoundLink Revolve+. These are two 360-degree speakers that are made out of aluminum. Which means not only do they look good, but they also provide great sound, since it is 360-degrees, like many of the speakers from Ultimate Ears. Both of these speakers use an entirely new acoustic design, and that's because they are completely aluminum, but also 360-degrees.

The SoundLink Revolve speakers are great for using outside. They get nice and loud, without distorting the sound coming out of them, and are also rated at IPX4. What this means is that they can take some spills, rain and even pool splashes, but it cannot be dropped in the pool and expect to survive. It is a bit durable though, and is able to withstand drops and falls, of decent height. Bose has included a way to mount the SoundLink Revolve speakers on a tripod, which is great for those that are traveling, or if you want to put the speaker up higher at a party. Bose promises around 12 hours of battery life out of the Revolve, and about 16 hours in the Revolve+. Both speakers work with Siri and Google Assistant as well, which is a pretty nice feature to have added in. Bose makes it easy to pair with your smartphone by adding NFC. So you can easily tap and pair the smartphone to the speaker.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve is available in two colors; Lux Gray and Triple Black. It's available now starting at $199 from retailers like Amazon, B&H Photo as well as The larger SoundLink Revolve+ will also be available in Lux Gray and Triple Black and is priced at $299. Both speakers are available with charging cradles which will cost a bit extra, but it makes charging the speaker even easier, and it allows the battery to last even longer - even though it already lasts pretty long. These prices fall right in line with other 360-degree speakers on the market right now, including the UE MEGABOOM which is also $299.
