Pick Up 2 Google Home Speakers for $229 ($30 off) - 3/20/17

Verizon is currently offering a pretty nice deal on the Google Home speaker that Google announced last year. You can pick up two of these for $229. That's $30 off when you buy a second Google Home. Not the biggest discount, but it's one of the very few we've seen on the Google Home. It was only discounted last year during the holiday season, and ever since it has remained at its regular price of $129.

Google Home, for those that are unaware, is a smart speaker that is competing with the Amazon Echo. It has the Google Assistant built-in, so you are able to ask it the usual questions you've been able to ask Google for quite some time. Including things like how's the weather, who won last nights game, and much more. But now you can also use the Google Assistant to control your smart home. Now it's not integrated with as many ecosystems as the Amazon Echo, but you can still use it with the Nest line of products, Philips Hue and a few others. Google Assistant ties into your Google account, so you can tell the Google Assistant to remind you to do something, and it'll remind you on the web, on your phone, on your tablet, or really anywhere. Making it very useful.

It's currently unclear how long this promo will be available over at Amazon. But if you have been looking at picking up a Google Home, or grabbing one as a gift or two, this is definitely a good time to pick up a couple. They do make great gifts, as the Google Assistant works with both Android and iOS devices (obviously it's a bit more baked in with Android than iOS).
