OnePlus 3T Midnight Black Design Video Is Now Live

OnePlus has just launched a new video for their all-new Midnight Black edition of the OnePlus 3T. In the video that is embedded down below, you’ll get to see a OnePlus designer, whose name we don’t know at the moment, talking about the Midnight Black OnePlus 3T, and even touches on other variants of the device. That being said, it seems like the Midnight Black variant of the OnePlus 3 was supposed to launch initially, in June, as it was created back then as the first variant of the device, but it seems like OnePlus realized they won’t be able to mass produce enough units in order to meet the demand, after which the company turned only to the Graphite and Soft Gold variants. As most of you know, the OnePlus 3T arrived later in 2016 (and is identical to the OnePlus 3 on the outside), and it was released in the same color variants as the OnePlus 3, though its Gunmetal variant was a bit darker.

That being said, OnePlus did plan to introduce the Midnight Black model for quite some time now, according to the video, and it seems like the company finally feels that they’re able to mass produce enough models to sell to consumers. The company first introduced this model recently as a special edition device with Colette’s logo on the back, and they decided to produce only 250 units, but soon after that OnePlus said that they’ll also sell a regular variant without Colette’s logo. The Midnight Black variant of the OnePlus 3T is actually launching later today (4PM GMT), exclusively on Hyperbeast, but it will become available on OnePlus’ official site as well soon. Do keep in mind that the company did not go overboard with mass producing Midnight Black variant of the OnePlus 3T, and even though they will have well over 250 units to sell, it might be wise to pick one up as soon as possible in case you’re interested.

The OnePlus 3T, as many of you know by now, is made out of metal, and it comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Optic AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, though the Midnight Black variant will become available in a 128GB storage flavor only. The device sports a 16-megapixel OIS snapper on the back, while a 16-megapixel camera is available on its front side as well. A 3,400mAh battery is included on the inside of this phone, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on it, though you’ll be able to upgrade the device to Android 7.1.1 Nougat as soon as you turn it on.
