Leak: Galaxy S8 Scores Over 205,000 Points On AnTuTu

The Samsung Galaxy S8’s launch is less than 2 weeks away at this point, and a new leak has just surfaced. If you take a look at the video down below, you’ll get to see the Galaxy S8’s AnTuTu benchmark score, the whole benchmarking process has been documented it seems. The device managed to hit over 205,000 points on AnTuTu, 205,284 points, to be exact. By scoring this high, Samsung’s all new flagship destroyed the competition, as the iPhone 7 is over 20,000 points behind, as Apple’s flagship scored 181,807 points on AnTuTu.

Now, based on this leaked AnTuTu scored, the Galaxy S8 is also around 40,000 points ahead of the OnePlus 3T, which is yet another smartphone that scored really high on AnTuTu (162,423 points), though that was to be expected considering that the OnePlus 3T ships with the Snapdragon 821 SoC, while the Galaxy S8 comes with the Snapdragon 835 / Exynos 8895. Now, do keep in mind that we don’t know if this is the Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895-powered variant that leaked in a video, but both of those models will be extremely powerful. We’ve already seen a ton of Galaxy S8 leaks, and we do know that the phone will launch on March 29th in New York, as Samsung confirmed that during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The company will probably introduce the Galaxy S8 Plus alongside the Galaxy S8 as well, at least based on various rumors and leaks.

The Galaxy S8 will sport a curved Super AMOLED display with a QHD resolution, and will ship with on-screen buttons this time around, which is something we’re not used to seeing from Samsung. The phone’s fingerprint scanner will be placed on its back, and the device will also offer some sort of a facial recognition technology it seems. Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the Galaxy S8, and on top of it, you’ll get Samsung’s very own custom UI, of course. The Galaxy S8 will probably pack in 4GB of RAM, though the Chinese variant of the device might ship with 6GB of RAM, if a recent rumor is to be believed, that is. We’ll probably see quite a few additional rumors and leaks before the Galaxy S8 gets announced on March 29th, so stay tuned.
