Huawei Is Giving Gift Boxes To Mate 9 Users In The US

Huawei is giving away gift boxes to customers who purchase the Mate 9 in the US. A user on the XDA forum with the username aknotts415, purchased a Huawei Mate 9 smartphone from Amazon US about two weeks ago and filled out a survey provided by Huawei. After waiting for two weeks, aknotts415 received an e-mail from Huawei with a redemption code for the gift box. However, in order to redeem the gift box, one has to fill out a survey provided by Huawei, and also type in the IMEI number of your Huawei Mate 9 in the said survey. Once doing so, Huawei will send the redemption code to your registered e-mail, and you may key in the code at the Amazon checkout page to receive the gift box. However, it should be noted that your IMEI number will need to be that of a US variant Huawei Mate 9 to be valid for the promotion.

Comments from Huawei Mate 9 users in the US, have confirmed that the company is indeed giving away gift boxes to its customers. It also doesn't seem that you will need to purchase a unit from Amazon to be eligible for the gift box, and all you need is the IMEI code of a US variant Huawei Mate 9. The gift box is called the Huawei Honor Gift Box, and it retails for $14.94 on Amazon. In the box, you will receive four items, and this includes a USB Type-C fast charger compatible with all Huawei devices, a USB Type-C to Micro-USB adapter, an Honor Selfie Stick, along with a USB Type-C cable. If you own a Huawei Mate 9, and would like to redeem a gift box, you may do so by heading to the source below for more information regarding the offer.

The Huawei Mate 9 packs a large 5.9-inch fullHD 2.5D curved glass display. Under the hood, it packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Fueling this device is the HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC, and a Mali-G71 MP8 GPU to handle graphics. For optics, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup on its rear, a 20-megapixel (monochrome) shooter and a 12-megapixel (RGB) shooter. For selfies, an 8-megapixel shooter is available on the front. The 4,000mAh battery encased in the device can be charged via the USB Type-C port located on the bottom of the device. Software wise, the Huawei Mate 9 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Emotion UI 5.0 on top of it.
