HTC Is Giving Away A 24K Gold One M7 For St. Patrick's Day

HTC is giving away a 24K Gold One M7 for St. Patrick's Day, though it should be noted that it is not solid gold, rather just gold-plated. Nevertheless, this is still a rare gem in the world of smartphones and is sure to impress any of your friends and family who have a thing for shiny gold objects. According to HTC this is a U.S.-only contest which means anyone outside the U.S. unfortunately won't be able to participate in the chance to win, which may or may not matter to some individuals.

Normally with these kinds of contests you might expect to have to submit a video or do something a little more complex than filling out a form to enter and win, but not this time. HTC's "Pot-O-Gold" contest simply requires people to sign up for their email list by filling out a series of different fields and that's all there is to it, as the only other prerequisites are that people must be a legal U.S. resident and be at least 18 years old. While people can sign up for the email list today the contest officially started back on Sunday March 12th. People that are interested in potentially winning a Gold One M7 will want to ensure that they make haste in filling out the needed information as they will only have until March 17th, which is this Friday and just two days away, to enter the contest. On top of all that, the exact time that the contest ends this Friday is at 9 AM Pacific Standard Time which means people don't even have a full two days left.

Short of the box which looks quite a bit more presentable than the original One M7 packaging, and the gold phone itself, everything about the device is the same as the original One M7, so no one should be entering this contest expecting to get a device with new and improved specifications over the original model. Although HTC doesn't show the accessories, it is possible that the color of those has been made gold to match that of the phone, though what's more likely is that these are a standard black color. If you want a chance to win this limited phone, make sure to enter fast.
