Google Maps Lets You Search, Book, & Pay For Fitness Classes

It's barely into 2017 and many people have likely already broken their resolutions to exercise on a regular basis and may need a little help in looking for an exercise class. Let Google help you search with Reserve with Google. Book and even pay for the class before you go – maybe a little added incentive so you don't lose your payment. Google launched the new service back in December 2016 on a limited basis in a few major cities in the US, but announced today that the Reserve with Google is now available anywhere in the US on Google Maps, through Google Search, and on the Reserve with Google website.

Go to the Reserve with Google website on either your laptop or on your mobile device to search for the retail fitness studios that are closest to you. The filters allow you to narrow down exactly what type of workout you are looking for – Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Zumba, etc. – or you can ask for recommendations. Many classes offer specials or an introductory lesson, if you buy a class package, or decide to add a membership, and those will be presented to you during checkout so you can take advantage of the savings. Google will also allow you to book classes from Google Maps (only on your laptop) or from Google Search (laptop or mobile) by searching for the particular studio you want to use, and you can click on the "Reserve with Google" option to see details about the class schedule, to book, and to pay.

Google said they worked with MINDBODY, MyTime, Genbook, Full Slate, Front Desk, and Appointy to provide users with real-time classes throughout the US. The new feature is nice enough if you want information on your local classes, but for the many people that travel a lot for personal or business reasons, Reserve with Google can help by allowing those people away from familiar surroundings to locate a class near them. With information about the fitness studios in front of them, they can make an informed decision on where to go. The information card gives the name, address, website, phone number, hours of operation, and even reviews of the business. If you decide you want to give it a try, just click on the Reserve with Google link to start the process.
