Samsung's Gear VR is currently at the lowest it has ever been, just $49.97. Typically this virtual reality headset would be priced at $99, and we've seen it drop to just $79 many times. But this is the first time that it has been knocked below $50. T-Mobile is offering up the Gear VR for just $49.97. Customers can pick it up for $0 down and $2.09/month for 24 months, if they don't want to pay the full price outright.
The Gear VR is compatible with the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. This does have an adapter for the micro USB connection, so it will work with USB-C devices like the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. This was originally released with the Galaxy Note 7 last fall, so currently the micro USB to USB-C adapter is a bit pointless. But it is at least future proof. With this virtual reality headset, you'll be able to watch 360-degree movies, as well as playing games in virtual reality. All of this is based off of your smartphone – hence why there is only a handful of devices that are compatible.
You can grab the Gear VR from T-Mobile using the link below. If you're not a T-Mobile customer, you can still pick it up, but you won't be able to buy it on a monthly installment plan. If you are looking to switch to T-Mobile, this Gear VR would go great with a brand new Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge, both of which are seeing discounts just about everywhere right now, with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on the horizon.
