August's Smart Lock is currently on sale over at Amazon, coming in at just $182.99, that's down from its regular price of $229. It's also one of the very few discounts we've ever seen on the second generation Smart Lock, so it's definitely worth picking up if you've had your eye on this.

With the August Smart Lock, you can turn the typical lock on your front door into a smart one, without people on the outside knowing that there is anything different. It uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone, so you can unlock the door using your smartphone, and not need a key. Of course, you can still unlock the door with a key, in case you do forget your smartphone. One of the cooler features of this lock, however, is the ability to give someone else access to the lock for a specific amount of time. So if you have someone watching your home and feeding your pets while you're away, you can give them access without giving them a key, and have it expire at a certain time, or revoke the access at any time. Way easier than changing the locks.

The August Smart Lock (2nd Generation) is available on Amazon right now for $182.99 in both silver and dark gray. It is also eligible for Amazon's Prime speedy shipping. If you're not an Amazon Prime member just yet, you can sign up for a 30-day trial for free, using the link below.
