If you are in the market for a new Chromebook then right now is a great time to pick one up. Due to the arrival of the latest Chromebooks from ASUS and Samsung, those looking for a high-end option now have more options to choose from. Likewise, there are plenty of affordable Chromebooks on offer, including a number that are priced below the $200 marker. So no matter what your budget, or your requirements, there are plenty of options to currently consider. To try and make that decision a little easier though, here are our top 10 Chromebook picks for March 2017.

10. ASUS Chromebook Flip

The ASUS Chromebook Flip was one of the first Chromebooks to really do portability well. Not only is this a highly-flexible Chromebook which can be used in a variety of positions due to its 360-degree rotating hinge, but it is also one of the smallest Chromebooks on the market. Making it an ideal option for anyone looking for a very portable unit. The display for instance, is only 10.1-inches in size, which actually makes this somewhat comparable in size to a tablet.

In terms of the rest of the specs, the ASUS Chromebook Flip comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by a Rockchip (RK3288) processor. While that 10.1-inch display does come with a 1280 x 800 resolution. However, while this is a small tablet, its price is not quite as small as some of the others. So those interested in the ASUS Chromebook Flip will currently be looking at spending $259.

9. Lenovo 100s Chromebook

If the price is a sticking point, then one option worth considering is the Lenovo 100s Chromebook. This is a Chromebook that is designed to be affordable and is one of many this month that is available below the $200 level. In fact right now you are looking at spending just under $200 to pick this one up. For that money, you can expect a Chromebook which comes with an 11.6-inch display and a 1366 x 768 resolution. Inside, the Lenovo 100s Chromebook comes loaded with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by an Intel Celeron (N2840) processor.

8. Acer Chromebook 11 CB3-131

Another option worth considering as the sub-$200 price point is the Acer Chromebook 11 CB3-131. In many respects, this Chromebook is directly comparable to the Lenovo 100s Chromebook as it does come with what is largely an identical spec breakdown. Although, at the moment the Acer Chromebook 11 is the more affordable option as it can currently be picked up for only $169.99. Making it one of the most affordable Chromebooks on this list this month.

For that low price, the Acer Chromebook 11 also comes with an 11.6-inch display and a 1366 x 768 resolution. In addition, the Acer Chromebook 11 also comes loaded with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and is also powered by the same Intel Celeron (N2840) processor that can be found in the Lenovo 100s Chromebook.

7. Dell Chromebook 13

The Dell Chromebook 13 is the first proper premium Chromebook to show up on the list this month as this is one which is designed more for those who are willing to spend more on a higher-spec and more premium machine. This is also a Chromebook that is fairly customizable which in turn affects the price. However, to give you an example, one customization option includes the employing of 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and an Intel Core i3 processor. For that particular spec breakdown, you are currently looking at around $635. So while this is a significantly higher-priced option compared to the previously mentioned Chromebooks, this one does come with a spec and build quality to warrant the higher price.

6. Lenovo ThinkPad 13

Moving back to the affordable Chromebooks and a good option to consider is the Lenovo ThinkPad 13. This is the next Chromebook that is priced at under $200 to make our list this month and like the others, offers exceptional value for money. In fact, this one has one clear advantage over the other sub-$200 options as unlike the others, the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 comes equipped with a 13.3-inch display and a 1366 x 768 resolution. So this will be an ideal choice for those not looking to spend as much, but still looking for a decent enough sized display. In terms of the rest of the specs, the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 16GB storage, USB Type-C ports, and is powered by an Intel Celeron 3855U processor.

5. Samsung Chromebook 3

Another good option to consider when looking for a well-priced Chromebook is the Samsung Chromebook 3. This is one of the newer Chromebooks to come from Samsung and unlike Samsung's other new option, this one is designed with price in mind. The Samsung Chromebook 3 is available in a couple of variants, although the base model can currently be picked up for just over $165. For that price, you can expect the Chromebook 3 to come with an 11.6-inch display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and powered by an Intel Celeron (N3050) processor. Of course if you need a bit more under the hood, there is also a 4GB RAM model which comes with a near-identical spec list and that one is currently available for only $179.

4. Acer Chromebook R 13

In many ways the Acer Chromebook R 13 offers a similar experience to the ASUS Chromebook Flip. Although the Acer Chromebook R 13 is much more of a premium product. Not only does this one come with a greater spec breakdown, but also a more premium build quality and a larger display. However, you do pay more for such improvements and right now the Acer Chromebook R 13 is priced at just under $400.

Like the ASUS Chromebook Flip, the Acer Chromebook R 13 also employs a 360-degree rotating hinge which does mean that the Acer Chromebook R 13 can be used in a number of positions. While the rest of the specs include a 13.3-inch display and a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage. This particular Chromebook comes powered by a MediaTek (MT8173C) quad-core processor.

3. Acer Chromebook 14

Sticking with Acer, and the next Chromebook worth checking out is the Acer Chromebook 14. This is another Chromebook which looks to balance quality with affordability and while this one is not quite as flexible as the last option, the Acer Chromebook 14 can be picked up for well under $300. Which makes this an excellent option to consider. The Acer Chromebook 14 is certainly more of a traditional Chromebook in terms of its design and is one which comes with a fairly large display, measuring 14-inches and making use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. The rest of the specs are pretty on point as well, as the Acer Chromebook 14 comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and is powered by an Intel Celeron N3160 processor. So if you are looking for more of a traditional laptop experience from a Chromebook, then with all things considered, this is probably the Chromebook you will want to be checking out first.

2. ASUS Chromebook Flip C302

Although, if you are in the market for an ultra new Chromebook, one which comes with many bells and whistles, a great build quality, and an excellent spec list, then look no further than the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302. As the name suggests, this is an updated version of the ASUS Chromebook Flip and this one does certainly come with it a number of improvements making this one of the best Chromebooks that you can currently buy. However, this is also an expensive Chromebook as it is priced just shy of $500. Although, for that price you really are getting a next-generation Chromebook.

Like the original ASUS Chromebook Flip, the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 comes equipped with a 360-degree rotating hinge which will allow the Chromebook to be used in a multitude of positions. The display on this newer model is significantly larger than on the original model which will make this option ideal for those looking for a highly-portable and well-built, but larger in size display. As the display included comes in at 12.5-inches and adopts a 1920 x 1080 resolution. In addition, you can expect to find 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, an Intel Core processor, and a battery that is said to last up to 10 hours.

1. Samsung Chromebook Plus

Of course, if you are looking for the ultimate Chromebook experience then it does seem that Samsung currently has the best option for you in the form of the Samsung Chromebook Plus. Like the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302, this is one of the newest Chromebooks to become available and is also one which is priced very similar to the Chromebook Flip C302. Although, in spite of the Samsung Chromebook Plus coming with a number of extra added value items, like a stylus, it is currently available for less than the ASUS option, as it is available to pick up for only $444.99.

For that money, you are getting an extremely well-built Chromebook and one which in many ways goes toe to toe with the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302. Especially considering that like the ASUS option, the Samsung Chromebook Plus also comes with a 360-degree rotating hinge. Likewise, in the display department, the Samsung Chromebook Plus comes with a comparative 12.3-inch sized display, although the resolution on offer here is 2400 x 1600.
