Rumor: Samsung To Bundle An S Pen With Galaxy Tab S3

Samsung will bundle an S Pen with the Galaxy Tab S3 Android tablet, latest industry rumors suggest. Despite shipping with the company's stylus, the upcoming flagship tablet won't feature a special slot for the S Pen, SamMobile claims. The South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer is also reportedly looking to release a number of other accessories for the Galaxy Tab S3, including a Book Cover case and a Keyboard Folio. Recent reports indicate that all Galaxy Tab S3 accessories apart from the S Pen will be sold separately, as expected. As for the tablet itself, the device will initially launch in the United States through Verizon and US Cellular. Latest rumors make no mention of any firm release dates, but the Galaxy Tab S3 will likely hit the South Korean market in early March before making its way to the U.S. Samsung is expected to launch two variants of the device - the base Wi-Fi one and an LTE-enabled model. There's still no word on whether other American carriers other than Verizon and US Cellular will be selling the Galaxy Tab S3.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil its next flagship tablet on February 26, a day before Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 kicks off. Images allegedly depicting the Galaxy Tab S3 already leaked earlier today, showcasing a curved display that was seemingly designed in a fashion similar to the one featured on the Galaxy S7 Edge. The highly anticipated Android tablet also appeared on Geekbench in late January. According to that listing, the Galaxy Tab S3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. The base Wi-Fi model is expected to feature 32GB of internal storage, while the LTE variant of the device will likely sport 128GB of storage space. Samsung's upcoming Android tablet is also said to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter.

Seeing how the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer already confirmed that it won't be unveiling the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017, the Galaxy Tab S3 could be Samsung's star product at the upcoming Barcelona-based trade show. With MWC 2017 just around the corner, more information is bound to follow soon.
