OUKITEL Intros The U16 Max With 6" Display & 4000 mAh Battery

OUKITEL has now announced the launch of a new smartphone, the OUKITEL U16 Max. This is a smartphone that in addition to being affordable, is designed to be a little more premium than what you might typically expect from an affordable smartphone. In particular, this is a smartphone that comes equipped with a 6-inch display and a metal unibody design. Adding to its value and helping to live up to its "Max" naming, the U16 Max also comes equipped with a big battery and the latest version of Android. Aspects which collectively result in a smartphone that seems to offer very good value for money.

In terms of the numbers, the OUKITEL U16 Max is a smartphone that comes loaded with a 6-inch display that employs a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the U16 Max comes packing 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, as well as the option to expand the storage when needed, via the included microSD card slot (up to 32GB). A MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.3 GHz) powers the device, while the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 7.0 (Nougat) is included. In terms of cameras, the U16 Max is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features include, dual-SIM support, a 4,000 mAh battery (which OUKITEL states can last up to 2 days), fast charging support, a headphone jack and 4G LTE support. In terms of network compatibility, the U16 Max is listed to work on GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz; WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz; 4G: b1/3/7/8/21.

Although, the U16 Max has now been officially announced, OUKITEL has yet to provide firm details on when it will become available. Likewise, firm details on the actual price of the handset have yet to be provided. Although OUKITEL has confirmed that the U16 Max will be available in either a space grey or a champagne gold color, and will not be priced any higher than $150. Which does mean that this is going to be an ultra-affordable smartphone, in spite of the more mid-range specs that are on offer.
