Nokia 6 Is Now Unofficially Available In India For $485

The Nokia 6 is now available in India, though not officially. HMD Global or Nokia did not announce Nokia 6’s availability in the country thus far, but the device is now unofficially available through eBay India. Now, considering this is an unofficial listing of the device which is not exactly that easy to purchase in India, its price is quite high. If you’d like to purchase the Nokia 6 in India through eBay, you’ll need to splash out Rs. 32,440 ($485), which is a lot. Now, for comparison’s sake, the Nokia 6 costs 1,699 Yuan ($274) in China, which means that you’ll have to pay almost twice as much in order to purchase it in India at the moment.

The Nokia 6 is currently available only in China, at least as far as we can tell. HDM Global did not say whether the device will roll out to India and some other market, and neither did Nokia, so, if you’re looking to purchase the device in India for a really low price, you’re out of luck, at least for now. Nokia will attend MWC 2017 which kicks off soon, and chances are that the company will talk more about the Nokia 6 during their press conference, and they’ll probably introduce some additional hardware as well. It is possible that Nokia plans to announce expanded availability for the Nokia 6, but those are only rumors at this point, nothing has been confirmed by the company just yet.

The Nokia 6 is HMD Global’s first Nokia smartphone. This smartphone is based on Android, as it ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and it’s an almost stock build as well. The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, and the Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. A 16-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of this smartphone, and an 8-megapixel shooter can be found on its front side. This smartphone also packs in a 3,000mAh battery which supports fast charging. All in all, the Nokia 6 is a solid smartphone, but for the right price.
