The Nokia 6 Has Just Gone Through Taiwanese Certification

The Nokia 6 has just gone through Taiwanese certification pointing to the device approaching a launch in the country in the near future. While Nokia's latest handset and the first of the new Android-powered devices in its lineup to launch has already been released in China and is unofficially available in India, it's also been suspected that it will launch in other regions before too long, and the model that has just been certified in Taiwan comes with the model number TA-1003 which recently showed up on GFXBench alongside the TA-1000 model.

Since this is a global model of the device there is a good chance that it will launch in more than just Taiwan though it will have to pass through certification in each of the planned launch regions before it can do so. That being said, the TA-1003 model supports CDMA and GSM networks alongside the FDD-LTE networks, with support for LTE bands 3, 7, 8, 28, 38, and 41. While the Chinese launch of the phone was sold through flash sales (which reportedly saw great success as the devices were said to have sold out in a minute), HMD Global is rumored to be moving away from the Flash Sale model in Taiwan though there is no mention of a rumored price for the phone in the region just yet.

The Nokia 6 is to be the most high-end model of the three new smartphones coming from Nokia, with the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 said to be on their way with an announcement at Mobile World Congress. The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU on the inside to power the device's computing needs, while an Adreno 505 GPU handles the graphics. It also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and it will support up to 128GB of expandable storage space via a microSD card. There's an 8-megapixel camera up front for selfies and video chat and the device comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor in the home button at the bottom, while a 16-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash reside on the back of the device. For software the Nokia 6 is running on Android 7.0 Nougat which is sure to be a nice treat for those who decide to pick it up as it will have access to the latest Android features.
