The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro has just been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, and the phone's model number could indicate that this variant of the Galaxy C5 Pro will be launched outside of China. This is not the first time this smartphone gets certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, the phone popped up back in December with the SM-C5010 model number, but this time around it comes with the SM-C501X model number, which leads us to believe this variant of the phone will be available outside of China, while the SM-C5010 model is meant to be sold in China only.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is essentially a new variant of the Galaxy C5 which was introduced back in May last year. The Galaxy C7 Pro and Galaxy C9 Pro have already been announced by Samsung, these two phones landed last month, and the Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to launch soon as well. The Galaxy C5 Pro had been spotted on both GFXBench and Geekbench last month, which means we have plenty of spec info to share already. If the provided info is to be believed, the Galaxy C5 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 626 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. A 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this smartphone, while you'll also be able to find a 16-megapixel shooter on the front side of this smartphone. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you'll get Samsung's custom UI.
In addition to all this, it is worth noting that the device managed to score 896 points in a single-core benchmark test on Geekbench, while it scored 4,276 points in the multi-core test. The Galaxy C5 Pro will be a mid-range smartphone, but quite a powerful mid-ranger, and judging by today's listing, consumers outside of China will get a chance to purchase this smartphone, though we still don't know in which countries will the device become available. In any case, the Galaxy C5 Pro will be announced soon, so stay tuned for that.
