Get Six Months Of Play Music With A Google Home Purchase

You can get six months of Play Music with a Google Home purchase as Google is currently running a promotion that will let you have access to six whole months of the service for free, something which normally costs $9.99 a month with a subscription, which lets you stream all of the content you want without having to actually buy any of the music. Google's aim here is two-fold, it seems. Get people to buy a Google Home speaker and get them signed up for Play Music, this way, consumers make a one-time purchase of one of Google's newest products, and they get signed up for a service that is normally a recurring monthly charge. Consumers won't have to pay for that service up front of course, but even though people will have the ability to cancel their Play Music subscription before the trial ends, Google is hoping that they'll love it so much that they want to keep it and just pay the $9.99 a month, and it's really not a bad deal.

While this is a pretty great deal, there are a few caveats. The first is that you have to purchase a Google Home speaker by February 27th at the end of day. The promotion starts today, and there is plenty of time to get in on the deal if you have been considering a Play Music subscription but have been holding off.

Another requirement is that you have to redeem your promotional offering by March 6th, so you will have a little bit over a week to get that part of the promotion out of the way, which is the last step before you can start enjoying streaming music through your Google Home speaker. Perhaps the only downside to this deal is that it is only available for new subscribers of Play Music, making this the last caveat. If you're already a subscriber of the service, Google unfortunately will not give you six months of the service for free with the purchase of Google Home, which is a bit of a let down if you already have it but don't have a Google Home speaker just yet. The good news is that if you don't have a Chromecast, there is another part to the promotion. If you were planning on buying a Google Home and a Chromecast, buying them at the same time will save you $15 off the entire purchase price. Now is also a good time to get into a Google Home as Google is currently selling the Google Home bases for it at 50% off, meaning if you wanted a more personalized look, you can do it for less at the moment.
