The Acer Chromebook R 13 is one of the few 13-inch Chromebooks on the market right now. And it's actually a rather interesting one. As you can tell by the name, this is a convertible Chromebook from Acer, it's basically a 13-inch version of their popular Chromebook R 11. The Chromebook R 13 sports a MediaTek processor as well as having 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Now the storage isn't a big deal, considering Chrome OS is mostly all in the cloud, 32GB will be more than enough storage. This is a USB-C powered Chromebook, it does also have a full-sized USB 3.0 port included, for plugging in mice, webcams and other peripherals. We also have a HDMI port here, so you can connect it to a monitor with ease. Finally, there is a micro SD card slot available, should you need more storage.
Typically, this Chromebook from Acer would cost you around $399, and it has since it launched late last year. We haven't seen this Chromebook really drop in price at all (except for a flash sale at Best Buy on Black Friday). So this price from Amazon is a great one, especially if you've been looking at picking up the Chromebook R 13 from Acer. This one does not have Android Apps, yet, but it will be getting them eventually. Seeing as the Google Play Store is still a very beta experience, this might be a good thing. But you do still have a load of great apps and plugins available in the Chrome Web Store.
