Moto US is currently running a promotion on its website for its flagship smartphone, the Moto Z, whereby you can purchase the smartphone at its retail price and receive a Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod, or an Insta-Share projector, for free. To be eligible for this promotion, all you have to do is head to the Moto US online store and add a Moto Z device to your cart, along with a Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod, or an Insta-Share projector. After doing so, simply head to the checkout page and apply the promo code "ohmymod". Once doing so, the discount will reflect in the amount to be paid. It should be noted that this discount only applies if you purchase a Moto Z or a Moto Z Force Droid, even though Moto US didn't mention if the promotion applies to the latter device, but the promo code still works for it. If you apply the same promo code to the Moto Z Play, you will only receive a $50 discount off either Moto Mod.
This is a pretty great discount, considering that both the Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod and Insta-Share projector cost $299.99 each. As far as the specs of the Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod go, it provides up 10 X optical zoom when attached to a smartphone from the Moto Z lineup. On the other hand, the Insta-Share Projector features an integrated kickstand and a 1,100mAh battery. It can project content up to 70 inches at a brightness of 50 lumens with a contrast ratio of 400:1 and an aspect ratio of 16:9.
The Moto Z and Moto Z Force are very similar devices. Both devices are made out of metal and basically look the same, though the Moto Z Force is somewhat thicker due to its larger battery. The two smartphones sport 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED displays, and are powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core System-on-Chip. Under the hood, both devices pack 4GB of RAM and come in two storage variants, 32GB and 64GB. While both devices sport identical 5-megapixel shooters on their front, the Moto Z Force sports a 21-megapixel rear shooter while the Moto Z sports a 13-megapixel main shooter. The Moto Z Force packs a 3,500mAh battery, and the Moto Z packs a smaller 2,600mAh battery. The Moto Z is priced at $699 while the Moto Z Force Droid is priced at $720 on the Moto US website.
