AnTuTu has compiled a list of top 20 Android smartphones, ranking them from most to least popular according to user reviews in China throughout January 2017. Interestingly enough, the list shows that the smartphone with the most positive reviews in the month of January is the Xiaomi Mi MIX, which is hardly a production device. The Xiaomi Mi MIX is followed by the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, while the 20th most (or least) positively-reviewed smartphone in the list is the Huawei Honor V8.
According to AnTuTu, the Xiaomi Mi MIX registered the highest rate of positive versus negative user reviews throughout the month of January and sits at the top of the list with a percentage of 94.40. Meanwhile, 86.76 percent of user reviews for the OnePlus 3 have been positive, while the OnePlus 3T has a rate of 86.23 percent. The fourth spot goes to the Meizu Pro 6 Plus (85.84 percent) which is followed by the Huawei Mate 9 (85.80 percent), the Vivo Xplay 6 (85.32 percent), and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with 83.40% positive review rate. It’s worth noting that all the smartphones in the top 10 list have registered a rate of positive user reviews of over 80 percent, which is considerably higher than the average of 60 percent, according to AnTuTu. Speaking of which, the 11th most positively-reviewed smartphone in China is the Huawei Mate 9 Pro with a rate of 80 percent still, while the 12th place is reserved for the Meizu Blue Charm Note with 79.69 percent. It’s also worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge fits in the 16th position with a 76.99 percent rate of positive user reviews.
As for the smartphone that seemingly won the hearts of user in China, the Xiaomi Mi MIX is quite a unique device boasting a variety of exciting features and characteristics, including a bezel-free display, as well as a ceramic body which also conducts sound waves to compensate for the lack of a conventional ear speaker. The Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of the most original smartphones launched in 2016, which is why it may have topped the charts despite the fact that it isn’t widely available. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has been launched in limited quantities in China only, but seemingly it was still enough to catch the attention of at least some Android smartphone users in the region.
