A new, LeEco-branded smartphone has been certified by TENAA, the LeEco LEX722. Now, at first, this handset might seem like a new device, but this is actually a 6GB RAM variant of the LeEco Le Pro3. TENAA is China’s official certification authority, an equivalent to the FCC in the US, which means that the provided info is probably quite accurate. The LeEco Le Pro3 has been announced back in September, and it has been available since October, though the device was launched in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with different storage options. The LeEco Le Pro3 is a metal-clad smartphone, which is something we’re used to seeing from LeEco, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. There are not button on the front side of the device, both physical keys are placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone.
This variant of the LeEco Le Pro3 sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 16-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this device, and it lies next to a dual-LED flash, while the company’s branding is also placed on the back of this smartphone. An 8-megapixel camera is located on the front side of the LeEco Le Pro3, and the device is fueled by a quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz, which is actually the Snapdragon 821 SoC. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll get LeEco’s custom eUI 5.8 skin. A 4,070mAh battery is included in this package, and it is not removable, while you’re getting Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging here. A Dolby Atmos audio is included here, and a Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of the device.
This variant of the smartphone will be available in Gold, Gray and Silver color variants, and is completely identical to the regular LeEco Le Pro3 except for the fact it has more storage on the inside. That being said, the LeEco Le 2S and LeEco Le 2S Dual have been certified by TENAA quite recently, which is also something worth mentioning. This 128GB storage variant of the LeEco Le Pro3 is probably heading to China, in case you were wondering, mainly because it was certified by China’s certification authority. We still do not know if it will become available in the US, but that’s not as likely.
