SD835-Powered Xiaomi MIX EVO Surfaces On Geekbench

The Xiaomi MIX EVO popped up on Geekbench. This handset seems to be a variant of the company’s concept Xiaomi Mi MIX phablet which was introduced back in October last year. Now, if the listing is to be believed, the Xiaomi MIX EVO will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC which was unveiled by Qualcomm during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, as the company's flagship processor for 2017. The device has managed to score 1,918 points in the single-core, and 5,689 points in the multi-core benchmark.

Now, on top of all this, Geekbench says that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find MIUI 8 OS, well, at least this variant comes with such software. It is possible that the device will launch with Android 7.0 Nougat, though it all depends on when will it launch, of course. This listing also reveals that the phone will sport 4GB of RAM, and the Xiaomi Mi MIX comes in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, so it is possible that this device will ship in two variants as well. The Xiaomi Mi MIX came with a huge 6.4-inch display, and a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, not to mention that it was made out of ceramic. The Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of the most innovative handsets of last year, and the Xiaomi MIX EVO could be a refresh that Xiaomi is planning to release sometime this year. Previous rumors and leaks reported that the company is preparing to launch the ‘nano’ variant of the Xiaomi MI MIX, a smaller variant of the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Xiaomi’s officials were quick to deny such rumors, so the Xiaomi MIX EVO is quite probably just a Xiaomi Mi MIX refresh, a slightly more powerful variant of the device, though we’re only guessing, of course.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX comes with basically no bezel on the top, or on its sides, it does have a small chin below the display, though. Chances are that the Xiaomi MIX EVO is quite similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX in terms of the design, though we cannot know for sure, of course, not even one image of the device leaked thus far. If this handset is really in Xiaomi’s plans, chances are more info will surface soon, so stay tuned for that.
