MOCACARE Showcasing MOCACuff & MOCAheart At CES 2017

A cardiovascular monitor maker MOCACARE is showcasing its latest wearable trackers including the MOCACuff and MOCAheart at CES 2017. While the company will be showcasing numerous products in Las Vegas, it will likely place the MOCACuff in the spotlight. This wearable just hit the market back in late November and boasts an affordable combination of form and function. The MOCACuff was designed as a wireless blood pressure monitor intended to be worn on a wrist. The company's latest offering can monitor both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as pulse rate. It also features a color-coded indicator for displaying blood pressure categories, designed in accordance with the American Heart Association's categorization system. The device itself has been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) which recognizes it as a legitimate medical tool. It's priced at $69.99 and can connect with your Android smartphone via Bluetooth. From there, you're able to use a dedicated MOCACARE companion app to track your health and receive tips for leading a healthy lifestyle. The app also features a goal system and supports user profiles so that several people can use the same device.

Apart from the MOCACuff, the MOCACARE companion app is compatible with the MOCAheart, another device manufactured by the Palo Alto-based company that's going to be showcased at CES 2017. The MOCAheart isn't a wearable, but a portable tool for measuring blood velocity, also known as pulse wave velocity. Blood velocity is widely considered as being one of the best indicators of cardiovascular health, the company claims, which is why knowing the speed at which blood travels through your body can be extremely important when planning a diet or any other aspect of your lifestyle. MOCAheart measures pulse wave velocity by scanning one's thumbs and is relatively straightforward to use. While it's designed to perform a rather complex function, this tool presents results in a way that's easy to understand, as the company explained it opted to measure blood velocity on a simple five-point scale. This solution allows users to get a good sense of their arterial stiffness and general cardiovascular health without burying them in technical details. MOCAheart has been available for purchase since late 2015, priced at $149.99. Both products are available for purchase from the company's official website.
