A virtual reality experience Wide Awake allows you to explore the Oval Office with the president-elect Donald Trump, just in time for his inauguration that's scheduled for today. Wide Awake recently appeared on Viveport, the official app store for the HTC Vive VR headset, and is available for download free of charge with no hidden fees. Developers of this virtual reality experience claim that their creation features the "most photorealistic human" currently available for viewing in virtual reality, adding that their product is worth experiencing regardless of how you feel about the 45th President of the United States.

Wide Awake was created by an American studio MacInnes Scott who reportedly recreated the Oval Office in great detail. The experience was developed with MacInnes Scott's proprietary technology capable of generating detailed digital replicas of human beings. Wide Awake is powered by the Unreal Engine 4 and allows users to explore the Oval Office at night, equipped with a flashlight. The flashlight is controlled using the HTC Vive Touch controllers and can be pointed at anything, including Trump's serious face. MacInnes Scott's developers say that lighting certain objects in the Oval Office supposedly reveals some secrets, though the studio provided no further details on this feature.

Some screenshots from this unique virtual reality experience can be seen in the gallery below. Wide Awake is currently available exclusively on the HTC Vive and there's currently no information on whether the product will make its way to other VR platforms in the future. The Viveport listing of the experience compares Wide Awake with works of art like the ones made by Edward Hooper, Gregory Crewdson, and Cindy Sherman. In fact, Wide Awake's developers believe that their creation has more potential to be accepted than an ordinary painting or a photograph seeing how people can not only appreciate it by looking, but also by interacting with it. If you happen to own the HTC Vive, you can download Wide Awake by following the link below. On a related note, several news outlets in the United States will be streaming the president-elect's inauguration in VR later today.
