BLU's New 4G LTE-Capable Vivo XL2 Launches Today For $149

BLU’s new 4G LTE-capable Vivo XL2 launches today for $149, and it’s available to pick up from Amazon right now in two different colors which include Midnight Blue and Liquid Gold. BLU officially announced the launch of the Vivo XL2 earlier this morning, ushering in the next phone in their popular Vivo XL line and not only building on an already popular device, but they also made a number of improvements to this version of the handset making it an even better value for the price tag. Targeting the entry-level market or those who simply just want a decent phone without spending a lot of money, the Vivo XL2 boasts a handful of pretty decent specs.

It’s carrying a 5.5-inch display with an HD resolution which, is only 720p but should be more than fine for consumers who are already ok with paying for a device at a lower cost. That being said, the screen is big so content should be more enjoyable and it’ll certainly make things easier to read when browsing, as well as easier to show off pictures and video. Display aside, the Vivo XL2 also comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with Phase Detection Autofocus and LED flash, while up front there is an 8-megapixel camera with an 85-degree wide angle lens for allowing users to get more people squeezed into one photo.

It’s powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor, specifically the MT6737T CPU, which is paired with the Mali-T720 GPU for the graphics, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space which is also expandable by another 64GB via the microSD card slot. It has a 3,150mAh battery on the inside so it should be just fine for staying powered on all day, and it comes running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the software version. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and infrared. While most of the specifications seem pretty standard, the Vivo XL2 does offer a few pretty decent functions. It supports a quick charging capability that allows you to boost the battery life to 50% from 0% in just a half an hour, which means you’ll have enough time to plug it in after you get home from work before getting ready and then heading out for the evening. It’s also unlocked which means you can use it on any GSM network, and it supports Dual SIM so it’s even perfect for travel.
