Samsung held its CES 2017 press event a short time ago and the lasting impression is one which highlights the width of Samsung’s ever-expanding portfolio. In fact, this is a sentiment which was summed up in a press release by Samsung which detailed that their ‘vision for 2017’ is “reaching higher with a wide range of innovations to provide consumers with their best experience yet”.
While there was not exactly a lot of products announced during the event, the ones that were announced spanned the tech industry and touched on many areas that are being showcased at CES 2017. For instance, Samsung announced and introduced its latest QLED TV lineup, which looks to not only offer an improved viewing experience, but also a more varied one. Then there was the new Flex Wash and Flex Dry laundry system which allows for cleaning of multiple loads at the same time, gaming laptops, and of course, the Samsung Chromebook Pro and Plus. Which are of particular importance as they seem to be laying down a benchmark for Chromebooks to strive towards in 2017. One which highly focuses on the Android app compatibility that is now afforded to Chromebooks. Not to mention, they are also Chromebooks that come with a pen, which is something you are unlikely to find elsewhere. In addition, Samsung also took the opportunity to further expand and detail their recently-announced Family Hub 2.0, greater fitness app compatibility with their line of Samsung Gear wearables – thanks to a today-announced Under Armour partnership, and more. All of which and according to Samsung’s press release, demonstrates Samsung’s “leadership in pioneering new technology” and technology which is designed in “more personalized, intuitive ways” to fit the lives of consumers.
Following the main press event, we were able to get a little closer to some of the products that were showcased during today’s event. Although, not close enough for a hands-on experience, but certainly close enough for an eyes-on look.
