The AXON 7 is ZTE’s flagship smartphone for 2016. This handset was released as a direct competitor to the OnePlus 3, as its initial price point was $399, which was the price of the OnePlus 3 as well. Things have changed, though, as OnePlus released the OnePlus 3T which replaced the OnePlus 3, and that handset starts at $439. In any case, the ZTE AXON 7 is a really nice-looking smartphone, it comes with great audio capabilities, and it sports a beautiful QHD AMOLED display. Well, those of you who are either looking to repair your ZTE AXON 7 or are simply wondering what lies on the inside of the phone, you’re in luck, read on.
Some of you have probably heard of a YouTube channel called ‘JerryRigEverything’, this is a tech channel which usually tests smartphones’ durability, well, this time around, we get to see the teardown of the ZTE AXON 7. If you check out the embedded video down below, you’ll get to see the whole teardown of the device, which starts with removing the SIM tray, and the plastic set of speaker grills on the top and bottom of this device, for which you will need some heat, as you need to soften the glue that is placed below them. After that, some screws need to be removed, after which you can remove its back panel and remove the fingerprint ribbon cable. Disconnecting the battery comes next, after which you can proceed to disconnect some additional ribbon cables, and also removing the motherboard, and you’ll need a screwdriver for that. The ZTE AXON 7 is made out of metal, mostly, there is some plastic on it, though. The device sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 20-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of the device, and an 8-megapixel shooter can be found on its front side. The 3,250mAh battery is included on the inside of this smartphone, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the AXON 7, along with the company’s MiFavor UI.
